Paperbacks I read recently
I finally ordered paperbacks online and read them after almost two years of reading books online. It was such a pleasure to smell them, touch them and feel the tethered pages after finishing the book. Nothing makes me happier than buying books, it's like buying gold, you are always assured that you can resell them and get money back, and apart from that fact, the joy of having them, owning them is something else, altogether.

Koi Good News?
This book is relatable to everyone, even though it is about hilarious journey of a couple trying to get pregnant. Zarreen Khan's voice is very refreshing, and the self deprecating humor is at it's best without being bitter.
My Best Friend's son's Wedding
Again a book by Zarreen Khan, picked it up after reading "Koi Good News". The book is a fresh contrast from the usual typical stories written by Indian authors. The book seems dragged at times, but overall a very refreshing read that will make your day and the intricacies of elite south Delhi culture is what I loved the most about it. The book has a total Indian vibe even it being about posh, sophisticated people. I am not much familiar with culture of Delhi, but this book has very beautifully depicted it, and it just made me love India more.
Write Me a Love Story
I was skeptical about ordering this book, because the reviews clearly mentioned, a not happy ending. But refreshingly enough, I did not find the ending heartbreaking. It felt very organic. The book starts with a slow and the plots seem a bit silly at first, but around the second half, it made for a very interesting read.

The Wedding Photographer
A very simple, yet effective book. The beauty of this book lies in its simplicity. Again, a book on delhites, and I wonder about the typical image we have of Delhi, of being polluted, and getting conned the moment you put step in the city. Finished this short and sweet book over a weekend, and loved the lingering feeling of it. The book is very lighthearted, and after reading it, it will feel like having eaten an ice cream and its tasting it on your tongue, the lightness and simplicity of book lingers with you long after finishing the book. And that's the main purpose I read books for, to feel that power of story telling, to feel that joy of written words and the sheer pleasure of just finishing a good, light-hearted read.
The Belated Bachelor Party
As the title suggests, the book is about a bachelor trip, taken by 4 male friends, but after their marriage. Personally, I did not find it that good from a female point of view. But, a light hearted read on friendship and if you like to read about adventures, you might want to grab this one on a Sunday afternoon. But did not find it that appealing or relatable for girls.
